    BAGHDAD - The Ministry of Justice announced on Sunday that a new mechanism would be introduced in the procedures for release and the reception of inmates and detainees in the reform departments will be carried out through the process of DNA testing.




    "The department, through the joint coordination between the Ministry of Justice and the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of the Interior, has developed and started work on the DNA Division, which is one of the most advanced and reliable techniques for documenting information about detainees and inmates in correctional prisons through DNA testing. To detect genetic genes and to confirm the identity of inmates and detainees and non-entrants to others when receiving or before their release, "pointing out that" the Division of (DNA) working in the reception and evacuation at the headquarters of the Department with a specialized medical staff of the Ministry of Interior Directorate of Qiq forensic evidence and send samples tothe forensic evidence Directorate at the Ministry of Interior to be stored in the Bank (DNA) and refer to it in the event of search or criminal investigation.
