[rtl]Oil Minister Jabbar al-Luaibi announced that Iraq will stop burning gas in mid-2021, noting that the ministry has drawn up plans to establish five refineries in northern, central and southern Iraq.[/rtl]
[rtl]"The ministry has made significant leaps in the production of crude oil, as well as the optimal investment of gas and a very high percentage of what it was," said Allaibi in a statement obtained by "Trend Press" on Monday.[/rtl]
[rtl]He added that it is hoped that Iraq will stop the burning of gas by mid-2021, which will achieve financial returns to maximize the federal treasury by more than six billion dollars annually, as well as the environmental impact and health of the surrounding oil fields.[/rtl]
[rtl]He added that "the ministry has developed strategic plans to increase production of oil derivatives and reduce the proportion of imports, through the introduction of investment projects to establish five refineries in the center, south and north of the country."[/rtl]
