    Information / Baghdad ..
The parliamentary security and defense committee on Tuesday suggested the participation of units of the Iranian army for the joint military exercises between the Turkish forces and the Iraqi army on the border strip with the Kurdistan region, pointing to the maneuvers aimed at delivering a clear and strong message to the region in response to the referendum.
"The military exercises between the Iraqi army and the Turkish border on the border between the two countries is the first reaction to the insistence of the President of the Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani to hold the referendum," member of the committee Iskandar and Tut said in a statement.
"The joining of units of the Iranian army to those exercises to deliver a clear message and strongly to the region of those countries to support the unity of Iraq and not allow Barzani to act alone."
He added that "the Iraqi government to invest significant international support for the purpose of accounting for the referendum, as well as the closure of all border crossings in cooperation with Iran, Syria and Turkey."
Army chief of staff Lieutenant General Osman al-Ghanmi announced on Monday evening the launch of large-scale Iraqi-Turkish military exercises on the common border between the two countries. Ending / 25 d
