[ltr]The Central Bank of Iraq decided on Thursday to increase the fines on banks that deposit counterfeit money to 700%, adding that the foreign securities deposited will be confiscated as Iraqi securities.[/ltr]
[ltr]In a statement received by Mawazine News, the bank said that "in order to reduce the appearance of counterfeit securities, excesses, decreases, different categories and the emergence of foreign currency notes in your deposit with this bank, it was decided to increase fines for these cases," noting that "fines will include Banknotes counted and counted as of November 11 present "[/ltr]
[ltr]The bank added that "the fines for counterfeit banknotes will be increased from 500% to 700% with compensation by the bank, and a fine will be imposed on the shortage discovered in the banknotes from 100% to 250% with the compensation of the shortfall," pointing out that "5% of the value of the buried banknotes will be collected."[/ltr]
