Iran suspends flights to Najaf International Airport

Economy News _ Baghdad The head of the Islamic holy sites of the holy shrines, Mohsen Nafati, announced on Tuesday the suspension of all Iranian flights to the international airport of Najaf, against the backdrop of high fees for services in the latter. "Officials at Najaf airport have not fulfilled their promises to reduce fees so far, and in light of this, the officials of the Iranian Aviation Organization decided to refer all flights to Baghdad International Airport, including those intended for the holy shrines," Safafti told Fars news agency. "The cost of Najaf International Airport fees increases the costs of visitors to the holy sites, and it is decided, until further notice, that all flights to Baghdad International Airport will be conducted back and forth from 27 November 2017."
