South Korean media reported Wednesday that US bombers flew over the Korean island as part of a joint air drill.
"US B-1B Lancer bombers will fly over the Korean peninsula on Wednesday as part of a large-scale joint air drill with South Korea this week," Yonhap news agency quoted a military source as saying.
The drill, which began on Monday and continues until Friday, comes after North Korea tested what it called its most advanced intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching the United States.
North Korea warned that the exercises would push the Korean peninsula to the brink of nuclear war and a South Korean defense official could not confirm the Yonhap report. Ending / 25 g
