The Accountability and Justice Commission has completed more than 600,000 names of 183 party cadres. She confirmed that she sent these lists to the Electoral Commission in order to grant these parties the establishment leaves.
The Commission confirms that it has expelled dozens of cadres of parties because of their inclusion in the procedures of the law of accountability, stressing that 3 of the deportees filed appeals to the discriminatory body in the Commission.
Bassem al-Badri, head of accountability and justice, said in an interview with Al-Mada that "the number of parties that have reached their lists from the Electoral Commission since the beginning of this year is 185 parties." He confirmed that all the lists were checked and returned to the electoral department of the Electoral Commission.
The Election Commission set the date of 19 November, a date for the registration of political parties and alliances, in accordance with the procedures of Alliances No. (2) of 2017, and the provisions of the Political Parties and Organizations Law No. (36) for the year 2015.
On Sunday, the Electoral Commission announced the extension of registration of parties until the end of official working day on 25 December. It also decided to extend the registration of electoral alliances until the end of official working hours on 7 January.
The Electoral Commission has revealed to the (extent), this week, the registration of more than 147 political parties and audit half a million names of cadres of these parties. And predicted the number of political entities to 200 as the elections approach.
Al-Badri denies the delay in the work of the accountability and justice after the completion and audit of all lists of parties, noting that "the maximum completion of the party's scrutiny does not exceed the 21 days."
The Electoral Commission has confirmed to the (extent) that it is waiting for the answers of the accountability and justice and criminal evidence to check the names and members of these parties to grant them the licenses establishment. And revealed the existence of more than 57 parties completed registration procedures with the registration of parties. The head of the accountability and justice, the nature of the work of his institution by saying that "each party provides a public body includes at least 2500 people and requires their review and audit in order to ensure that the inclusion of the procedures of the law of accountability and justice."
