Wassit police chief Major General Qassem Rashid told Al-Sabah: "The leadership organized a major military parade in Al-Kut Training Square. The review was conducted with the participation of all police departments and departments to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the establishment of the Iraqi police." He added that the review included the establishment of mechanisms for the departments, directorates and contingents of the Directorate of Civil Defense, Traffic and Rapid Response Forces, the Office of the Inspector-General and the Directorate of Information and National Investigation and Internal Affairs, pointing out that the celebration included a special display of exercises to capture wanted and release abductees. Al-Rashed added that the Directorate also held a festive ceremony attended by the governor and a number of officials and officers at the conference hall at the headquarters of Kut, where she gave poems and words praising the great role played by the police and its ability to extend security, stability and law enforcement.
