[ltr][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]BAGHDAD - Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi arrived in the House of Representatives to complete the debate on the budget bill for 2018, the press office said.
He said, "Abadi arrived at the parliament building and held a meeting with representatives of the Kurdistan Alliance in the presence of the Finance Committee on the budget," without further details.
"The meeting of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi with the heads of blocs on the budget yesterday did not lead to a result, while noting that Abadi was calm in his proposals and ready for understanding without spasms.
The newspaper quoted an informed source as saying that "the meeting of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi with the heads of blocs on the budget of 2018 did not lead to a result, except the agreement to hold a second meeting with the deputies of oil-producing provinces and the Union of Forces and Kurds to agree on a final formula to resolve the budget law."
"Ebadi explained to all that the Kurds can not be given the percentage they demand, which is 17 percent, because it will be at the expense of quotas of other provinces, especially oil-producing," noting that "he stressed that the issue of reconstruction of liberated areas (In reference to the donor conference to be held in Kuwait mid-month), and can solve the problem of giving the oil-producing provinces share of oil. "
She continued, "Abadi was calm in his proposals and ready for understanding without convulsions." END
