Minister of Commerce and Industry Salman Jumaili announced that he had invited Arab countries to participate in the donors conference to be held next week in Kuwait to reconstruct the liberated areas.
"Trade Minister Salman al-Jumaili chaired the 101st session of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for the ministerial level to be held in Cairo today, which is chaired by the Republic of Sudan," the ministry said in a press release.
"The Arab countries were invited to participate in the donor conference to be held next week in Kuwait to support Iraq in the reconstruction of areas liberated from terrorist gangs," Jumaili was quoted as saying.
He added that the meeting discussed an item submitted by Iraq and Jordan on the economic and social burdens resulting from hosting the Syrian refugees and their impact on the Arab countries hosting them.
