    British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson called on Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi in a telephone call to lift the ban on airports in the Kurdistan region as soon as possible to resume international flights.

    A statement issued by the British Foreign Office that Johnson called Abadi during the recent telephone call to resume international flights to and from the airports of the Kurdistan Region as soon as possible.

    During the telephone conversation, the two sides discussed a number of other issues, particularly the elimination of the security situation in Iraq and the Iraq reconstruction conference currently under way in Kuwait.
