The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) accused Massoud Barzani on Saturday of "collective punishment" against the Kurdish people after the approval of the budget, signaling the withdrawal of the political process and boycotting elections in the event of "unilateralism".
"The passage of the budget in isolation from the Kurdish parties and without consensus on them is evidence of the uniqueness of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and the use of the file to pass the budget to punish the Kurdish people," MP Najiba Najib said in a statement.
Najib added that "the Kurdish parties are required to take a serious position on these dangerous trends and the uniqueness of the decision by the Prime Minister and the parliament, including boycotting the entire political process and not to run in the upcoming elections and leave the House of Representatives."
Najib said that "the next few days will witness the adoption of serious decisions to denounce the passing of the budget and the economic blockade of the Kurdistan region by the ruling parties in Baghdad." Ending / 25 d
