[ltr]Iraq on Tuesday called on the Belarusian side to move the file of Iraqi funds in Belarus, asking them to solve the problems and obstacles suffered by Iraqi students in Minsk.[/ltr]
[ltr]"Jaafari received the non-resident ambassador of Belarus, Andrei Savinich," the press office of Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari said in a statement. "The meeting discussed the bilateral relationship between the two countries and stressed the importance of upgrading them to meet Interests of the two friendly peoples ".[/ltr]
[ltr]"The need for bilateral relations between Baghdad and Minsk to receive more attention," Jaafari said, noting that "the prospects for cooperation are many and multiple, and we must invest them."[/ltr]
[ltr]He pointed out that "Iraq has money in the hands of Belarus," calling for "to move its file; because Iraq is going through exceptional economic conditions."[/ltr]
[ltr]Jaafari called on the Belarusian side to "cooperate in solving the problems and obstacles suffered by the Iraqi students in Minsk," stressing the need to hold the seventh session of the Iraqi-Belarusian Joint Committee in Baghdad.[/ltr]
[ltr]For his part, the Ambassador of Belarus "his country's readiness to support Iraq," pointing out "his country's pursuit of cooperation with Iraq in health products, medical care, cooperation in the oil sector, and the field of sport."[/ltr]
[ltr]He disclosed the "intention of the Belarusian businessmen to invest in Iraq"[/ltr]
