    IBBC MEMBERS PROFILES

The Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) is entering its fourth year of operation and we are very proud to now have 47 members representing a remarkable collection of world class companies. At present our membership operates broadly across four sectors: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.],[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

IBBC Members gather at the weekend retreat, Wilton park.
We are also launching sector tables in IT and telecommunications, health, agriculture, manufacturing, security and tourism. We also have plans for non sector specific tables in areas such as: corporate social responsibility, legal environment and sports.

These are exciting and challenging times for Iraq and for our growing collection of IBBC members whose long term goal is to cover all sectors of the Iraqi economy.

Prime Minister Maliki Opens IBBC Baghdad Conference

Iraq’s Prime Minister, Nouri Al Malki, was the special guest on the first day of the IBBC’s six-day UK trade mission to Iraq.

Mr Al Maliki officially opened the event, which was held at Baghdad’s Al Rasheed Hotel on Monday (November 18th).

The event, jointly organised with United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI) and the National Investment Commission of Iraq, was attended by 52 senior business executives and education managers from Britain. They were joined by more than 100 of their Iraqi counterparts.

The six-day mission, designed to expand and grow the UK’s trade with the oil-rich nation, features conferences, networking opportunities, and site visits, not just in Baghdad but Erbil as well.
