    The National Program for Combating Tuberculosis in Iraq announced control of tuberculosis by 93 percent. 

    "The national program is taking effective steps with the participation of university professors and community leaders, leading to the total elimination of the disease," said Dr. Samer Abdul Sattar Amin, Director of the Program.

    Amin said: "The preventive reality recorded advanced cases in Iraq, while control of the disease accounted for 93 percent and achieved a significant reduction in the number of deaths."

    He added: "Tuberculosis is a disease of the poor, so investors do not think of working in it, and it is up to the state and charitable organizations, which help free of charge, which made us resort to the use of global formations and included free treatment from diagnosis to recovery, which costs the state $ 50 a day For six months to be borne by international bodies and the Ministry of Health. "
