Attributed to the National Coalition led by Iyad Allawi, Sunday, low participation rate in the House of Representatives to the weakness of the procedures of the Independent High Electoral Commission, considering that it was the main reason and direct in the reluctance of citizens to participate in the elections.
"The low participation rate in the voting process is a serious indicator and calls for careful review of all political blocs in the future," MP Abdul Karim Abtan said in a statement.
He added that "there are a number of factors that made the citizen to refrain from participation, but the first official is the Electoral Commission, where it was very weak in the procedure, as well as not to use the powers conferred by the law and the Constitution."
Abtan said that "since the beginning of the propaganda campaign launched a month before the polling day was not serious in the issuance of sanctions against violators of various political blocs, in addition to duplication in its decisions." Ending / 25
