    Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri, on Sunday, the need to move quickly to resolve the crisis of water scarcity in the country.

    "The Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri received today, the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Fatih Yildiz," the media office of al-Jabouri said in a statement received by Sky Press.

    "The meeting discussed the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the region, in addition to discussing the issue of the water crisis and ways of coordinating efforts to ensure the interests of both countries," the office added.

    "Iraq is looking forward to maintaining communication between the two governments in order to consolidate stability and open new horizons of cooperation and at all levels," Jubouri said.

    He pointed out that "the water crisis, which started to have a clear impact on Iraq, requires intervention and rapid action by all concerned government agencies and international organizations in order to find solutions that contribute to ensure the country's share of water and reduce the negative effects by mobilizing efforts and finding guaranteed alternatives that achieve Security and stability in Iraq ".

    The Parliament held a consultative session in the presence of the Ministers of Agriculture and Water Resources and a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
