The Turkish ambassador to Iraq, Fatih Yildiz, will hold a press conference on Tuesday on the health and water security of the country due to the Turkish dam on the Tigris River.
Yildiz will hold his conference at 12 noon at the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad, which invited the media to attend.
Iraq is experiencing a severe crisis in water shortages, especially in the Tigris River with the start of Turkey filling the dam Aliso on the river, which threatens the scarcity of a hundred large and dry for about 7 million acres.
The Minister of Water Resources Hassan al-Janabi said on Sunday that the amount of water storage in Iraq is 17 billion cubic meters and can secure 50 percent of the summer agricultural plan and drinking water .
