The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) said it did not specify its final position on extending the life of the House of Representatives, although it does not support the idea in principle.
A member of the House of Representatives for the National Union Bakhtiar Shaways in a press statement: "The bloc of the National Union will not participate in the meeting allocated for the second reading to extend the life of the House of Representatives, and this is a violation of the articles of the Constitution that devoid of any article provides for extending the life of the House of Representatives.
He said Shaways: "The National Union bloc in the House of Representatives will hold a meeting Monday with the Political Bureau to determine its final position of the debate over the extension of the life of the House of Representatives or not."
