The Iranian Mehr news agency published on Wednesday a political analysis under the title "History of US policies and lessons for Iran and Iraq," touched on the results of the Iraqi legislative elections, and the political movement underway to form a new federal government.

"What the Iraqi prime minister said was that his government was not sympathetic to the US sanctions against Iran, but would abide by them to protect Iraq's interests, paved the way for some Arab media hostile to Iran to hunt in troubled waters and claim that Baghdad turned its back on its regional ally Tehran after the recent parliamentary elections, which results in the alliance, "Saroon", which includes the Sadrist movement and a number of parties and secular currents.

The analysis added that "Abadi's recent statements can be regarded as a green light for the coalition winning in the Iraqi elections to cooperate in forming the new government and extending his term on the basis of forming a new alliance with the Sadrist movement, which always emphasizes keeping the distance with Iran and America at the same time."

The analysis pointed out that "what draws the equations in Iraq is not a political hand or one official and linking Iran to Iraq deeper and closer to the results of elections because the Iraqi parliament first includes within it the currents and parties allied with Iran have a significant influence in political decision-making, including the Fatah Alliance (led by Hadi al-Amri ) And the stream of national wisdom led by Ammar al-Hakim and the rule of law (led by Nuri al-Maliki). "

The analysis added that "the political and social fabric prevailing in Iraq and the level of economic exchanges between the two countries prevent Iraq from joining the US sanctions on Iran and the possibility of implementing the blockade through the Iraqi gate in view of the common interests existing between the two countries on the subject of trade and even the issue of electricity and the use of Iran to complete the acute shortage In the electricity of the Iraqis. "

According to the analysis, "the positions of various political parties and currents in Iraq in condemning the handling of sanctions indicate that the Iranian-Iraqi relations exceed the statements directed at domestic consumption and undermine these relations by some Arab parties is not a simple matter and in this context can refer to data from the currents Iraq, which recognizes and recalls Iran's stand on the side of Iraq in its war against the gangs "advocated" in the most difficult circumstances and it came on the basis of Iran's stand on Iraq's security and any threat to the stability of its neighbors will be reflected directly on the inside.
