Trump exempts some states from aluminum charges and steel conditions

US President Donald [size=13]Trump signed a decree exempting some countries from import duties of steel and aluminum , US media reported on Thursday, quoting the US Commerce Department .
The US State Department announced yesterday that Trump signed decrees allowing conditional exemptions from steel and aluminum fees to some countries.
Trump, which imposed customs duties on imports of steel and aluminum last May, is authorized to exempt steel from South Korea, Brazil, Argentina and Argentinean aluminum from import duties.

President Trump, citing national security concerns, levied a 25 percent charge on steel imports and 10 percent on aluminum imports.
The import duties of steel and aluminum from the European Union, Canada and Mexico took effect in early June after they included Russia and China.
