The most prominent issue in the British press coverage of international affairs is the disappearance of Saudi opposition journalist Jamal Khashoggi after he entered his consulate in the Turkish city of Istanbul last week.
"The disappearance of princes after talking about the disappearance of a journalist," wrote Bill Tro in the newspaper "i" says that at least five Saudi princes disappeared last week and their place is not currently known for their talk against Khashoggi's disappearance, according to a Saudi prince in exile.
The newspaper quoted Prince Khalid bin Farhan al-Saud, who lives in exile in Germany as saying that the Saudi authorities had planned to kidnap him in the same way 10 days before Khashoggi's disappearance.
Ben Farhan said the authorities had promised his family millions of dollars if he went to Cairo to meet officials in the Saudi consulate in the Egyptian capital for a bank check after learning he was in financial trouble. He said the Saudi authorities had contacted him at least 30 times.
"Many princes are in prison now. Only five days ago, five princes went to visit King Salman. They expressed their fear for the future of the Al Saud family and mentioned Khashoggi's case and they are all in prison now," he added.
