A political source revealed on Thursday the identity of the official responsible for retrieving a million-dollar property from his wife, which was announced by the Integrity Commission in a statement yesterday.
"The intended official served briefly as deputy prime minister in the government ofHaider Abbadi, " the source told AFP .
He added that "the seizure of state property is one of the most prominent files frozen over successive governments because of the participation of most of the participating parties power to occupy land and public property as their headquarters."
The Integrity Commission revealed Wednesday that it was able to return ownership of the property from the wife of a senior official in the previous government to state ownership.
