Lavrov: Washington is an ally
The Russian foreign minister said that the United States views the organization as "an advocate" of its ally in working to change the regime in Damascus.
Lavrov said during a press conference in Lisbon on Saturday that Washington's offer of conditions to fight "da'ash" indicates that it has a hidden agenda in Syria.
Lavrov said: "The US State Department said a few days ago that" dashing "has not yet been defeated, and that defeating it requires regime change in Syria as a prerequisite. This confirms my guess that the Americans consider" dashing "as justification for their military presence in Syria and what may amount to an ally in Conflict with the Syrian regime ".
"This means that the main goal (for Washington) is to change the regime and not to win a" push. "
