A member of the House of Representatives MP Alaa al-Rubaie said on Sunday that there are many questions and comments about the nature of the work of the Ministry of Oil specifically regarding the size of domestic consumption and the amount of processing of the Ministry of Electricity and crude oil and other petroleum products.
"We have sent a letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives to address the Minister of Oil to inquire about a lot of observations in the ministry's work and how to deal with exports and petroleum products," Al-Rubaie said in a statement. Of petroleum products and how much domestic production is measured by internal needs. "
Al-Rubaie called for "knowing the size of the processing of private sector refineries inside Iraq and the quantity of processing per refinery", noting that "the Presidency of the Council instructed the relevant authorities to address the Ministry of Oil to answer these questions and queries."
He pointed out that "the answer of the Ministry of Oil may affect the nature of discussions within the House of Representatives with regard to the adoption of the federal budget."
