announced that the Department of Defense US ( the Pentagon) on Saturday, the US military planned to exit from Syria in implementation of the directives of President Donald Trump , are currently continuing their operations against the remnants of the organization "Daesh" there.

"We are focusing on the balanced and controllable process of troop withdrawals and we are taking all possible measures to ensure the safety of our soldiers as they pursue the remaining militants," State Department spokeswoman Carla Gleason told the TASS news agency on Saturday.

However, the spokeswoman declined to comment on media reports that the first batch of US troops left Syria on December 28. "We have no intention of talking about the details of the operations," she said.

The Anatolia news agency reported Saturday that the United States emptied one of its military depots in northeastern Syria for the first time after announcing the decision to withdraw its troops from the country.

The agency quoted "reliable local sources" in the province of Hasakeh that the United States evacuated one of its warehouses in the city of Al-Malikiya of the province of Hasakeh, on Friday, noting that the warehouse contains several stores with about 50 US soldiers.

On Dec. 19, US President Donald Trump announced his decision to begin withdrawing US troops from Syria, citing his decision that the United States had "defeated"

US officials have indicated that the withdrawal of more than 2,000 US troops from Syria will take 60 to 100 days, while the US Department of Defense stressed that the campaign against "Da'ash" is not yet over and that Washington will continue to cooperate with its partners and allies to defeat the organization altogether.

The United States began its operations against "Da'ash" in Iraq in June 2014, with official approval from Baghdad, and Syria began the US military campaign there in September of the same year, without the consent of the government of the country.
