BAGHDAD (Independent) ... Cabinet authorized the president of the National Investment Commission to negotiate and sign agreements on projects to protect and encourage investment between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the governments of the five countries.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said in a statement received by the (independent) ... "The Council of Ministers authorized in its meeting held yesterday, Chairman of the National Investment Agency Sami Raouf al-Araji, the authority to negotiate and sign the draft agreements to protect and encourage investment between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the governments of each of the (state United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, the Republic of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina), as amended by the State Council, based on the provisions of Article (80 / item VI) of the Constitution, instead of the former finance minister. "
The Secretariat added that "the Council of Ministers face of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prepare documents of authorization required on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Iraq to the President of the National Investment Agency in accordance with the contexts adopted, and submitted to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in order to obtain the signature of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki."
The House of Representatives voted in its third legislative term of the second legislative year, the fourth and final, which was held in January 2014, a draft law on ratification of agreement on the encouragement and protection of investment between the Government of Iraq and Armenia. (End)
