The European Union rejects America's threats on sanctions against Iran

The White House has threatened the European Union that if they try to circumvent the Iranian sanctions, they will be subject to economic sanctions and fines, according to a report by the French Press Agency on Monday.
"The European Union is moving ahead with a plan to establish an alternative financing and trade channel with Tehran, and hopes to announce its launch very soon, despite US threats," the report said.
"The preparations for the alternative financial system are at an advanced stage, and I hope we will be able to launch it very soon," EU foreign affairs spokeswoman Frederica Mugrini said.
"The United States will fully implement its sanctions and hold individuals and entities responsible for undermining them," a senior administration official said on condition of anonymity.
