The Ministry of Oil confirmed on Monday its intention to invest free gas in Mansouriya and Akaz.
The Deputy Minister of Oil, Hamid al-Zobaie, in a statement quoted by the newspaper "morning" and the official view of "economy News", one of the most important priorities of his ministry is the free gas investment in Mansouriya and Akaz, adding that "there is high-level joint coordination with security agencies to secure A field of crutches to enable the company to be referred to the field, from the start of the free gas investment naturally, "noting that" Mansuriya field is also the same interest and is currently invested by the Central Oil Company. "
He added that "the investment of gas in these areas is very important as they produce free gas," pointing out that "within the curriculum of the government there is a specific period to be able to invest gas to add new quantities of dry gas to power stations," expected to "the production of the two fields of free gas 700 million standard cubic feet per day, which will reflect positively on the quantities of gas produced in the country. "
Al-Zobaie stressed the presence of a large effort in the company of oil explorations to expand gas exploratory patches, and there are expectations of the existence and promising quantities in the north and south of the field of crutches and fields of Risha and Rawa, in addition to his presence in the central region, specifically Diyala in the fields of Djerba and Khashm red, which noted that the quantities of exploration and accounts.
The minister said that the ministry is currently investing 1500 million standard cubic feet of gas associated with the production of oil, which invests liquid gas liquids and the capacity of more than six thousand and 400 tons per day for domestic consumption as cooking gas.
