Halabousi to Rouhani: Parliament is ready to legislate laws that help open up with Iran

The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Mohamed Halboussi, discussed Monday with the attendance of a parliamentary delegation from various political forces with Iranian President Hassan Rowhani and his accompanying delegation to promote and develop bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries at various levels, especially in the fields of politics and economy.
"The meeting discussed the efforts to solve the problems that need legislative intervention from the House of Representatives to support the wheel of the economy between the two countries, specifically in the Iraqi provinces and adjacent to the Iranian border in the interest of the two peoples common," the statement said.
"The House of Representatives is ready to enact several laws that help the federal government to open up to all neighboring countries and friendly to Iraq, including the Islamic Republic of Iran."
For his part, the visiting delegation expressed its aspiration to strengthen the brotherly ties between the two sides and expand the horizons of cooperation in various fields. "
