, said House Speaker Mohammed Halbusi , Sunday that the parliament will work on laws guaranteeing minority rights legislation, stressing the need for the involvement of members of minorities to state institutions. 

"The Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed Al Halbusi accompanied by a parliamentary delegation and in the presence of Iraqi Ambassador Farid Yassin met today a delegation of Iraqi minorities in the United States ," the media office of Al Halbusi said in a statement received by Alsumaria News. "The meeting discussed minority status In Iraq , and to listen to their demands and highlight their needs. "


The office quoted Halbusi as saying that "Iraq is characterized by the diversity of its original components, and the Iraqi government is keen to be Iraq for all Iraqis with all its components to the maximum to the maximum," noting that "Parliament will work to legislate laws that guarantee the rights of minorities." 

"We are working seriously and quickly to rehabilitate the areas of the Sons of Iraq from minorities and all components, and the closure of the file of displacement on a final, as well as provide the requirements of a decent life for them, and keep them away from political problems." 

Al-Halbusi stressed the need to engage minority members in state institutions, including the security establishment, and to benefit from their expertise and competencies, and to take over positions in the state.
