"


The statement quoted Hakim as saying that "Iraq is taking confident steps towards consolidating its relations with the countries of the region and the world based on common interests." 

Hakim stressed at the same time "the independence of the national decision and its neutrality towards international differences and away from the policy axes," adding that "Iraq is a yardstick to bring the views of the parties."
