The President of the Association of Iraqi Private Banks, Wadih al-Hanalal, visited Tuesday with Austrian Parliament Member Omar Al-Rawi the Church of the Virgin Mary in Baghdad to brief the narrator about the achievements made by the Central Bank and the Association of Banks through the Tamkeen Fund through the reconstruction of the church and the preservation of its heritage.
The delegation was accompanied by the head of the Engineering Department of the Association of Iraqi Private Banks, Ahmad Al-Tai and the Director General of the Department of Christian Affairs Agency in the Office of Awqaf Karbit Mansakan Armenik.
Al-Hantal said in a statement received by "Economy News" that "the visit included a dialogue session with the Governor of the Central Bank, Ali Alaak, to deliberate in the beauty of the capital Baghdad and how to remove the visual pollution in the capital in cooperation with the Secretariat of Baghdad," adding that " The meeting with very wonderful and important ideas will be presented when the map is completed to add to previous initiatives. "
He stressed that "the narrator expressed the coexistence between the spectrum of the Iraqi people, through visits by Muslims to the church and the support provided by the Central Bank and the Association of Iraqi private banks."
"We are proud to visit the narrator to Baghdad, which is a step to strengthen the relations between Iraq and Austria," he said, noting that "the private sector is a true supporter of coexistence among the Iraqi people and especially the Christian brothers and minorities."
"We discussed with the narrator the development of relations between the two countries and the strengthening of relations with the European Union," he said.
