Parliament is considering amending the pension law to grant concessions to private pensioners

The parliamentary legal committee announced on Thursday that it will hold a meeting next week to discuss the amendments to the pension law, and put it as a bill to vote on it, indicating that the proposals guarantee the right of retirees in the private sector as well as facilitating the treatment of retirees.
The committee member Mohamed al-Ghazi said in a statement that his committee is "in the process of drafting amendments to the retirement law and finding mechanisms to facilitate the review of retirees," noting that "we discussed in the committee meeting last Tuesday the subject of the amendment of the law and there were a number of points raised, On the most important of which guarantee the rights of retirees and the adoption of a new mechanism to work in the retirement services. "
Al-Ghazi added that "the retirement authority should be a servant for retirees," noting that "the retirement was discussed in the private sector and granting them the privileges of retirees in the public sector."
