The House of Representatives, during its scheduled to be held on Monday, 15 recommendations related to resolving the housing crisis .. And unveiled three laws related to the crisis.
"The committee prepared full recommendations to solve the housing crisis, which will be voted on and taken by the government," said Mohamed Ali Zinni, head of the planning committee.
He added that "the recommendations to be voted on are; the need to find a top executive sector to manage the problem of housing and has the authority to transfer land owned by any of the State institutions, either in the federal government or the provinces and the province or the Secretariat of Baghdad for the purpose of building housing complexes, Solve the housing crisis, speed up the general population census and conduct surveys. "
The recommendations include completing the databases, preparing the land directory, monitoring the financial allocations required to complete the infrastructure of the areas to be invested, finding permanent sources of funding, issuing the necessary legislation for the developers, allocating 500 billion dinars to the housing fund within the budget 2020 allocated to finance housing loans for citizens, To support the investors and facilitate mechanisms for granting loans to them and to protect them from corruption and extortion, the need to enact a law for the National Support Fund for the treatment of Kalat slums, the need to adopt the Iraqi specifications in building materials used and the promotion of national industry, the importance of the Prime Minister to review the decision of 70 for the year 2019 to achieve the solution to the housing problem in an integrated manner to all Iraqis, the importance of the adoption of government style citizens equipped with materials of construction at subsidized prices for compensation and rebuild their destroyed homes
In turn, the parliamentary services committee indicated that it is ready to legislate any law needed by the government and to solve the housing crisis.
"The committee has laws related to the housing crisis, including the law of slums and the law of transgressors and more than one project in this regard, as well as the law of orchards, which are all related to the housing crisis," said member of the Services Committee Mudar al-Azerjawi.
"There is a vision for the government to solve the housing crisis through its initiative, which we have seen, which is the distribution of residential land among the citizens, and will start in Basra, where land has been designated for distribution," Azzergawi said.
