The United States-led international coalition on Thursday called on the US-led coalition to provide air cover for Iraqi demonstrators from protecting them from killing.
"In these difficult days of the Iraqi people, after the political process reached a dead end, and after the attacks that led to the massacre of thousands of Iraqis, peaceful demonstrators and security services," the party's secretary general said in a statement. "We call on the President of the Republic to exercise his constitutional and democratic role by sending a request to Parliament requesting the dismissal of the government."
He called on "the parliament to fulfill its oversight role as the highest authority in the country and the dismissal of the government by an absolute majority vote, and the referral of the Prime Minister and the Ministers of Defense, Interior and National Security to investigate the killing and wounding of thousands of Iraqi citizens."
Al-Khaldi called on the coalition forces to protect the demonstrators by conducting drones and within the security agreement between Iraq and the international coalition to prevent the repetition of another genocide as it happened previously.
He called on the media to play its role in conveying the facts and supporting the demonstrators for real reforms, starting with the dismissal of the government, holding the killers accountable, fighting corruption, returning billions of dollars in the banks of the world, correcting the political process by changing the election law and forming commissioners of judges who are known for their integrity.
