    [size=18]Today, Sunday, leader of the National Coalition, Iyad Allawi, called on the President of the Republic, Barham Saleh, as "representing the sovereignty of the country and a sponsor of the constitution" to take swift measures to contribute to breaking the current impasse.


    Allawi said, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, a copy of it, that "in light of the critical juncture and the dangerous conditions in which our dear country passes, and the necessity of speeding up the nomination of one or more names to be assigned to head the next government, we call Brother Barham Saleh, the President of the Republic, to start a comprehensive dialogue that includes representatives of some Political forces that did not participate in repression, and which opposed the previous dictatorship, and from peaceful demonstrators and from professional unions and unions, for dialogue on the Electoral Commission and Law and the Prime Minister and the role and tasks of the interim government and accountability for those who caused mass killings of protesters so that dialogue is a step in the path of Save the country from where it is. "







    He stressed that "the current conditions require the president of the republic, as it represents the sovereignty of the country and a sponsor of the constitution, quick measures to contribute to getting out of the current impasse in which the country is going through and maintaining its sovereign decision and national unity to correct the course of the political process and address the distortions that it has witnessed over the past years."

    The House of Representatives, in a special session held on Sunday (1 December 2019), had approved the resignation of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, a day after it was formally submitted by the Prime Minister.
