[size=18]The deputy of the Alliance of Saeron Amjad Al-Aqabi called on the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee on Tuesday to open an urgent and immediate investigation into the information reported by the media regarding the existence of suspicions that wasted public money in a contract of the Ministry of Electricity.

Al-Aqabi said in an interview with Alsumaria News, "There is information transmitted by the media about the Ministry of Electricity's intention to sign a contract in the project of using the ice technology (TIAC / Chiling) to cool the air entering the gas turbines in three phases," noting that "the amount covered in the news represents Serious number and clear waste of public money if the information is correct.

Al-Oqabi added, "The Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee, in its capacity as the Parliamentary Committee concerned with the follow-up to the work of the Ministry of Electricity, is required to open an immediate and urgent investigation into that information." It represents a legal breach and a clear violation that requires accountability from the competent regulatory authorities.

A well-informed source revealed, yesterday, Monday, that there is a suspicion of wasting public money on a contract that the Ministry of Electricity intends to sign and amounts to $ 900 million, indicating that the contract, if proceeded with, is a legal violation for being projects that can be divided.
