political affairs expert Ibrahim Al-Dulaimi confirmed that the Coordination Framework forces refused to sit with Al-Halbousi and discuss the issue of the presidency of Parliament.
Al-Dulaimi said, in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, that “The Taqaddum Party claims the Sunni majority and the right to the position of Speaker of Parliament, and they are missing this majority after the withdrawal of more than 11 deputies from the Taqaddum Party, as they currently only have approximately 30 deputies.”
He added, "The last meeting of the Sunni political forces in the house of Khamis Al-Khanjar came out with a decision to break bones with the Taqadum Party and not ally with it in any way, indicating that those who harmed the Taqadum Party were the Taqadum representatives and those around Al-Halbousi."
He pointed out that "the Shiite coordinating framework refused to sit with the head of the Taqaddum Party, Muhammad al-Halbousi, and discuss the file of the presidency of Parliament and informed him that the framework was with whomever would be voted on within the House of Representatives, confirming that the Kurdish political forces also took the framework's path."
