Shafaq News / Head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Russia to Iraq, Maxim Maximov.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance the bonds of joint cooperation in various fields, and developments in the political and security situation in the region and the world were discussed.
He reiterated Iraq's desire to expand friendship and cooperation with the Russian Federation in various fields, expressing his welcome to Russia's position in support of the political process and the Iraqi people.
The head of the State of Law coalition expressed his hope to nominate a prime minister who has the ability to take responsibility and meets the aspirations of the masses.
In turn, Ambassador Maximov assured his country’s support for the Iraqi people and their desire to develop friendly relations with them.
