    On Saturday, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, issued a statement on political developments in Iraq, while noting that the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, was under great pressure.


    Barzani said in a statement received Alsumaria News, a copy of it, "We follow with great concern and closely the conditions and developments of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], which is suffering a deep crisis."
     
    "While the threat of instability and further complicating the situation warns the country to move towards an unknown future, it is the duty of everyone to deal with the situation with understanding, in a national spirit, with responsibility and away from political pressure to pass the stage in accordance with constitutional contexts."






     
    He continued, "On the issue of assigning a candidate to head the next Iraqi government, it appears that the President of the Republic, Barham Saleh, is under great pressure, in contrast to the constitutional mechanisms and foundations," stressing that "any solution must be based on the constitution and in accordance with legal contexts."
     
    Barzani stressed that "to choose a national and non-controversial candidate for prime minister that is acceptable to the influential forces, we must take into account the legitimate demands of the demonstrators and the conditions and interests of the country when choosing it," explaining that "assistance is provided to the next government for the purpose of passing the next transitional phase and preparing for new elections."


     The President of the Republic, [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/133262/%D8%A8%D8%B1%D9%87%D9%85 %D8%B5%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD/ar/]Barham Salih[/url], announced last Thursday that he was ready to put his resignation in front of the members of the House of Representatives, while he apologized for assigning the building block candidate to head the next government, Asaad Al-Eidani.
