    Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Integrity Commission revealed the details of the verdict issued against former officials of the Baghdad Motor Company, indicating that the defendants had caused intentional damage to public money amounting to seven billion dinars.
    The Commission’s investigations department indicated, in its discussion of the details of the case that it had previously investigated and referred to the judiciary, that the (former Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Baghdad Automotive Trading Company and its authorized manager) stole the amount (6,829,952,000) billion dinars of the company, explaining that This was done by manipulating the company's accounts, accepting instruments signed by the investor in his personal capacity, and not asking the contracting companies with the letter of guarantee stipulated in the contract for the supply and marketing of cars, adding that this act has caused damage to public money; the fact that the percentage of the Ministry of Finance’s contribution reaches 51% of the company’s shares .
    The Criminal Court for Integrity Issues in Baghdad has reached sufficient conviction to criminalize the accused, after reviewing the statements of the legal representatives of the Ministry of Finance and one of the private banks who requested the complaint against the defendants, and the administrative investigation that includes their shortcomings and referring them to the integrity committee, because of the significant manipulation of the accounts of the company, in addition to the evidence of their flight .
    The court found that the evidence obtained was sufficient and convincing to convict them in accordance with the provisions of Article (444) / IV and eleventh of the Penal Code, and it sentenced the convicts in absentia to ten years in prison, in addition to issuing arrest warrants and conducting a fundamental inspection against them, while supporting the attachment of their movable and immovable properties, In addition to retaining the two affected bodies (the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank) the right to seek compensation before the civil courts after the decisions of the final degree judgments are acquired. is over
