MP Salam al-Shammari said on Thursday that the nomination of the same names in circulation to head the government is incorrect and will escalate the current crisis.
Al-Shammari said, in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that "the credibility of the political forces and blocs is once again at stake by its commitment to the constitution and its articles on choosing the candidate for the new government."
He added, "The peaceful demonstrators and the religious authority are still on their firm stance that it is necessary to choose an independent, non-controversial figure for this position and refrain from deliberating with previous names that do not help in implementing the constitutional demands of the demonstrators."
Al-Shammari continued, "The agreement to nominate the same names in circulation to head the government is incorrect and will escalate the current crisis and give further evidence that some political blocs do not respond to popular demands."
He stressed, "The importance of reaching an independent figure with a national identity with a clear government program that creates the atmosphere for implementing the demands and working to get the American forces out of delay and procrastination." Ended 29 / A 43
