{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The head of the Executive Authority of the Media and Communications Authority, Ali Nasser Al-Khuwaildi, held a meeting with the Director of the World Health Organization in Iraq, Adham Ismail, to put into effect what was agreed between the two parties to confront and contain the spread of the Corona virus.
Al-Khuwaildi and Ismail discussed, according to the Communications Authority statement, "the importance of technology and the ways to invest in preventing and educating society from the epidemic, which has begun to accelerate in invading the world, recording the highest levels of prevalence and mortality during the past three days."
Al-Khuwaildi indicated that "the authority is making great efforts in accordance with urgent plans, approved within the framework of the Dom 2025 strategic initiative, which included mechanisms to support and develop a healthy reality in Iraq through technology investment."
He stressed the need to "coordinate work between the authority, the World Health Organization and the national media to contain the epidemic, prevent its widespread spread and spread health awareness in Iraq."
For his part, Director of the World Health Organization, Adham Ismail, praised "the cooperation of the Media and Communications Authority and the measures it has taken in educating citizens and delivering the correct preventive information."
Ismail added, "It is a valuable opportunity that can be seized by investing all the technological and media capabilities to prevent the spread of the epidemic and control it."
He expressed his expectation of a window of hope for efforts to contain the virus in light of the measures taken by the Iraqi government with the assistance of all parties, especially the campaign launched by the authority in cooperation with the media and telecommunications companies.
The two sides agreed to create a window for direct communication to exchange information and coordinate procedures and joint actions.
The Head of the Executive Authority of the Media and Communications Authority and the Director of the World Health Organization in Iraq discussed in a telephone call the procedures used to face the Corona epidemic in an optimal manner, and the available capabilities of the authority to invest in spreading health awareness. is over
