The economist Salam Semsem called on the government to intervene to strengthen the business sectors, provide support to the poorer segments of the population, and distribute unemployment benefits.
“This is the job of the state, where in the most severe capitalist economic systems, at a time of economic crises and disasters such as the Corona virus, the state interferes with direct spending and pumping money into certain sectors, the most important of which is health in epidemics,” Sumaisem told Al Ahd News.
