BAGHDAD / NINA / MP, of the Muttahidoon coalition, Talal Khudair Zobaie saw the speech of the President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, on constitutional article 140 as a speech that does not serve the political process in the country.

He stressed in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "the need to keep Kirkuk, as a city for all Iraqis."

He added that "things cannot be resolved in this way by tense statements but by common understanding of all the components of the province to form its council according of its population, components and nationalities and respect the views of others." Noting "the speech is not a final decision, but there are committees working and MPs of Kirkuk should come out with formal statement to see the motives of the speech and its damage."

The head of the Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani visited Kirkuk on Thursday to inspect the Peshmerga forces, which entered the city after the withdrawal of the federal army from it.

Barzani announced, at a news conference with British Foreign Secretary William Hague in Arbil, on Friday, that Article 140 of the Constitution became closed after Peshmerga entered the disputed areas.
