, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Abdul Nasser Hamti, revealed today, Wednesday, Iranian funds that were released, after they had been frozen in Luxembourg since 2015.
The official said that a judicial decision had been issued to release $ 1.6 billion of funds that were frozen in Luxembourg, despite American pressure.
The governor of the Central Bank of Iran added that the freed funds were frozen in Luxembourg about 5 years ago, noting that thanks to judicial follow-up initiated by the Central Bank of Iran, US efforts to stop and seize Iranian frozen funds in Europe were thwarted.
The governor also revealed another judicial decision that prevented the delivery of the frozen funds in Luxembourg to the United States to compensate the victims of the events of September 11. End / 29 BC
