Political analyst Ali Al-Waeli warned today, Friday, of new US-Iraqi agreements aimed at re-occupying the country legally, pointing out that the political blocs supporting Al-Kazemi must push towards refusing any new agreements aimed at returning the withdrawing forces to Iraq.
Al-Waeli said, "The American moves to hold new talks and agreements with Iraq in next June aim to return the withdrawing American forces to Iraq according to a new agreement, which means permanent occupation in a legitimate way."
He added, "America is trying to amend the agreement that allows Iraq to withdraw from it whenever it wants, in order to compel Baghdad not to demand the removal of American forces from Iraq."
And between, "The political blocs rejecting the American presence must oblige the new prime minister not to accept any return of the Americans to Iraqi bases, and to rely entirely on the security forces while developing their capabilities by sending missions to the developed countries militarily without relying on America."
