{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The oil expert, Jabbar Al-Luaibi, saw that the tumbling oil prices portend great disasters at the country’s level, stressing the need for diversified sources of income.
Al-Luaibi said (for the Euphrates News) that "the deterioration of matters in the health and economic levels to the general countries has led to a decline in oil prices to minimum levels not seen in the sector for two decades or more. .
He added, "What concerns us in this regard is the situation of Iraq, which threatens economic and social disasters," adding that "the reality proved what we were calling for, which is the necessity of diversifying sources of income in the field of energy joints, not dependence and focus on one joint, which is crude oil."
"There must be sources or other elements that can subsidize the country's revenues, including investing gas, exporting its derivatives, exporting oil derivatives, fats and condensates, petrochemical products, and exporting sulfur and phosphate products," Laibi said.
He pointed out that "there are many and multiple doors that can provide high revenues for the country, but they are parked aside", hoping that "these shocks in oil prices will be a final lesson for the concerned authorities to reconsider in a serious and sincere way and take national steps in the energy sector in Iraq, and even more with the help of homes. Local and global experience in the path of revitalization and agility of the Iraqi economy as a whole. "Ended
