The Kurdistan Region delegation will meet, later today, Sunday, with the Iraqi Ministers of Finance and Oil in the presence of SOMO to determine the value of oil exported from the region and determine the amounts of non-oil revenues.

Samir Hawrami, spokesman for the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, said that the Kurdistan Region delegation will hold a meeting this afternoon, with the Ministers of Finance and Oil, in the presence of SOMO for the purpose of determining the amount of oil exported from the region and determining the amounts of non-oil revenues in implementation of the financial deficit financing law that It was approved by the Iraqi Council of Representatives.

He added that the meeting came as a result of the session held yesterday, in the presence of the two prime ministers and parliament, with the two negotiating delegations to reach a solution between the two parties.

During the meeting, the amount of oil exported from the Kurdistan Region and the total non-oil imports will be determined, and then the region’s share will be determined in accordance with the provisions of the Fiscal Deficit Financing Law approved by the Iraqi Parliament, according to Hawrami.

Yesterday, Saturday, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, discussed with the negotiating delegation for the Kurdistan Region headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the region, Qubad Talabani, the mechanisms for implementing the fiscal deficit law “in a manner that takes into account justice in the distribution of financial allocations to all regions of Iraq.”
